update: comic work

I am luckly enough to be working with several talented writers that are making comics that I would love to read. The enagaging Jeff Rider is one of these writers. Based out of San Franscico, Jeff is carving out a nice place for himself in the indie comics world.

I am proud to be working with him on Maj. Holmes and Capt. Watson. It's not a reimagining of the Holmes mythology but it involves key components that I love in works like Alan Moore's League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and Mike Mignola's Hellboy. Jeff seamlessly takes historical events and literary characters and melded them together in a beautiful and well thought out way that make sense without destroying or altering the original.

Murder, mystery, secrets and quite honestly, the fate of the world hangs in the balance. The comic features a dynamic gay male lead in Sheffield Holmes and a bad-ass strong female co-lead in Immogen Watson. Its a great read and the dialogue really rings true to the works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

It's free to read and it's the first chapter of a planned 5 part series. Jeff has started a patreon account to help fund the remaining chapters and hopefully, make a little bit off of his wonderful creation for himself. If you like our work, definitely take the time and donate a little bit to make sure we can finish this story out. Chapter 2 has got some crazy explosions, Edwardian era motorcycle chase scenes and more secrets revealed. The script is written and I will be working on the artwork for that shortly.

More news to come on other creator owned work coming up shortly. Stay tuned.
